Your GMU series wireless system should pair automatically out of the box! Simply turn the Transmitter and Receiver on, and you should see the RF LED Indicator on the Receiver light up to show a successful connection.
If you do not see the RF LED Indicator light up, the frequency assignment may have changed. To Re-Pair Receiver and Transmitter, first power off the Transmitter and Receiver. Now, power on the Receivers you plan to transmit to (can connect to multiple Receivers at once!) Hold the SET button on the Transmitter while powering on and keep POWER & SET held down until the battery LED begins to flash. RF LED indicator on Receiver will light up to show a successful connection. Once successfully paired, the connection will now happen automatically when you power on Transmitter and Receiver, as long as the frequency or group assignment hasn't changed.
On the single channel systems, transmitters will transmit to the “CH A=A Frequency group” by default. If you are having trouble connecting to your Receiver, the Transmitter’s assignment may have been changed to “CH B=B Frequency group.”
Follow these to change back to “CH A”:
Be sure all Receivers are off. With the transmitter powered off, hold down the power button for 9 seconds, and the unit will turn on and change group assignments. Now power on the Receiver you intend to use, and the connection should happen automatically. If not, try the pairing instructions above again.
First, be sure all Receivers are off. Then turn on the Transmitter power, hold down the “SET” button for 9 seconds, and the LED display will change from “CHA” to “CHB” to show a successful change of group assignments. Now power on the Receiver you intend to use, and the connection should happen automatically. If not, try the pairing instructions above again.
Transmitters will transmit one to “CH A” and one to “CH B” by default. When you turn on the Microphone/Transmitter, the LED of the handheld will display which group is currently assigned. If both Transmitters are assigned to the same group, you’ll need to change one to another Group:
First, make sure all Receivers are off. With Transmitter powered off, hold down the power button for 9 seconds, the unit will turn on and change group assignments.
